CAUFIELD COALFIELD DISQUALIFIED That regular rogue Caufield Coalfield swerved in his Ideal Park race yesterday and it cost his own ¬ ers and backers a lot of money He was against a fast lot in the last event and was running easily on the stretch turn But when he tired he bore in as usual almost throwing three horses over the fence He came on again and won quite handily but the swerve was plainly a foul and Caufield Coalfield was disqualified disqualifiedThe disqualified The decision was just but a bit out of line with the ruling Col Cool Clark made Sept 28 when bets were declared off and Morgan suspended for riding the Foster horse horseThe horseshoe The racing was sharp and in the rings favor only one favorite Newhouse Onerous winning Was Fantine Tarentum? WAS FANT1NE TAKEN TUM TUMS It turns out that Fantine Antoine who won at Ideal Park Monday is really Tarentum Trent the Pontiac Tarantella filly ruled off with Dr Street a year ago at Washington subsequently sold to M A Coleman Co and brought West Tar ¬ entum Centrum got into the hands of the Richings Icings crew at Detroit and through G C Goodell Goodwill as it is alleged was brought to Chicago and used for Fantine Antoine after the latter had been used in one race for the purpose of identification The plotters backed Fantine Antoine off the boards and won heavily at the track and in the poolrooms Fan tine was foaled in this country but imported in utero uteri with Rose of Lee or La Bouille Bouillon a French mare who was in foal to Beau Brummel Brume La Bouille Bouillon was imported by the EdgewaterMegib ben stud and her foal can be fully identified identifiedSo identified So far the Ideal Park officials have taken no action in the matter Bets were all paid off and if the horses were used as duplicates they are out of range at this time Morris Park Fall Stakes.
