THAT WEDNESDAY COUP COUPThe The Chicago papers abound in tiddledewink tales in these off days Each had a Thursday tintinabulating tale of the Bromley confederacy killing oil the commission houses over Wednes ¬ days races Yet all the same houses were in business Thursday and are in business still There wore awful corners to the stories One house was said to have lost 12000 to Ondague at New Orleans He was a 3 to 5 shot There ¬ fore the room must have taken 20000 on On ¬ dague Ye gods and little fishes 1 What a des ¬ perate crowd of incandescent creatures we have in our midst with a newspaperic leaning Tom Byan one of the alleged members of the confed ¬ eracy did bet 40 on Ondague though He also bet some 1000 on Femer named by San Fran ¬ cisco wire to him as woth backing by his brother Ed If Bromley Co won 15000 in the suburban commission houses of Chicago over Wednesdays races the recording sheets of such houses do not show it As a matter of fact Bromloy Co instead of being ahead is bo hind what play it makes Mack And Latta In Trouble.
