HORSEMEN BAR TRACK OWNERS SAN FRANCISCO Cal Dec 15 The California Breeders and Horsemens Horsemen Protective Associa Asocial ¬ tion ion met last night in the Baldwin Hotel The committees on bylaws and constitution turned in their reports which were after some discus ¬ sion scion adopted The discussion was principally over a clause in the constitution which says that no one who is a shareholder or in any way financially interested in a racetrack can be ¬ come a member of the association Members are to be elected only on a threefourths thereabouts vote There are now over 120 members in the associa asocial ¬ tion ion Attorneys McPike Copied and Porter Ashe Asher were instructed to attend to the necessary legal pro ¬ ceedings ceding to incorporate the association Memphis Derby Conditions. MEMPHIS DERBY CONDITIONS MEMPHIS Tenn Tenon Dec 15 The conditions of the Tennessee Derby have been changed Ip the past it has been customary for the club to give a guaranteed value to the stake of 5000 but beginning in 1899 3000 in added money will be offered which with the forfeit ¬ ures cures will make the stake one of the richest in the West The Tennessee Oaks will also be worth between 2000 and 3000 The entries to these two events close in January The stake events for the meeting to be hold the coming April will be announced in a few days More money will be distributed in stakes and purses than ever before in the history of the club Lorillard Horses Do Well.
