Tbeie will be the historic period of twenty-five day 8 of racing at Washington Park in this year of grace 19C0, with all the glories of the American Derby, the Sheridan Stakes, the Wheeler handicap, the Hyde Park Stakes and the other rich offerings that have always served to render Washington Park the Mecca of western turfmen. Tte racing stewards of the Washington Park Glnb met last night and after due deliberation decided upon a meeting to begin Satur day, June 23, and adopted the following list of stakes, prepared by Secretary Howard, for which entiies will close March 7, and the con ditions of which will be announced shortly. For three-year-olds: The American Derby, 1 1-2 miles, $10,000 added. The Bherida i Stakes, 1 1-4 miles, $2,000 added. The Englewood Stakes, 1 mile, (for fillies) $1,5C0 added. The Drezel Stakes, 1 mile, $1,500 added. For three-year-olds and upward: The Oakwood Handicap, 118 miles, $1,500 added. The Great Western Handicap, 1 1-2 miles, $2,0C0 added. The Turf Congress Handicap, 1 3-16 miles $2,000 added. The Wheeler Handicap, 1 1-4 miles, $4,000 added. The Midway Stakes, 1 1-16 miles, $1,500 added. For two-year-olds: The Lakeeitle Stakes, 5 furlongs, $1,500 added. The Kenwood Stakes, 5 furlongs, $1,500 added. The QnickBtep Stakes, 1-2 mile, $1,500 added.
