HAKUBJlS Fl E OFFERING OFFERINGTen Ten additional stakes to bo run during the Summer and Fall meetings at Harlem are an ¬ nounced today by Secretary Nathansou These events are supplemental to tbe rich fixtures that closed last February only three of which were run during the June meeting on account of tbe closing of the track by injunction Of the original list nine stakes remain to be decided making a total of nineteen of these important races to be presented during August September and October The ten new stakes will close for nominations Thursday July 18 and are designed mainlj for such horses of good class as have been developed since last winter and have not been engaged in the stakes that closed early There are a large number of per ¬ formers of that kind whose owners will welcome this opportunity of pacing their horses in line for earning increased valnes These stakes will also attract all other horses of good quality and while not so valuable in added money and fees as tbe events already closed are certain to result in contests of great importance from tho fact that only racers of stake class and those really ready for the word will be nominated nominatedSecretary Secretary Natbanson has drawn the conditions with a view to dovetailing the new events into the list of stakes left over from the spring and thus providing valuable prizes for horses of all classes and ages Two of the ten new stakes are for steeplechasers steeplechasersThe The nine stakes already closed and listed for decision are the Youngster Proviso and Junior for twoyearolds the Riverside for threeyear olds and the Twentieth Century Harlem Chi ¬ cago Austin and Garden City for threeyear olds and upward These stakes have from 1500 to 5000 added to each and are among the most valuable fixtures in the country countryThe The entry lists published early in the spring give ample assurance that plenty of rare sport may be expected The nineteen stakes yet to be run at Harlem havo over 30000 in added money atd with entrance and starting fees will be worth more than 50000 to the winners winnersEntry Entry blanks for the new stakes will be ready for distribution Tuesday Hawthorne's New Stakes.
