HORSES AT BELMONT START FALSELY AND WINNER MISSES COURSE. Veil Revives and Wins the Hunter Handicap in Fine Style Error About Jockeys Proves Costly to Bettors. Now York, October 10. Racing conditions at Belmont Park today were ideal. The sport was first-class despite frequent upsets. Racegoers were nonplussed l)y Veil's sudden improvement in the Hunter Handicap, which was a hard-fought and spectacular struggle from start to finish. The steeplechase was replete with incident and accidents. Every horse hut Sandy Crocker, St. Nick, Lizzie Flat and Touchwood ran away a lialf mile or more to a false start. The winner turned up in Sandy Creeker. who was immediately disqualified for running the wrong course. There was no elimination of the boggy far turn today. The rider of Sandy Creeker didn't know this and cut the corner as in the race previous. The Italian jockey, T.uigi Masnada, figured in the false break, and later fell with his mount, sustaining an injury to liis left leg, a small hone being broken. A singular case of neglect or oversight on tho part of some of the employes of the Westchester Racing Association occurred in connection with the fifth race. There wore only three starters. I.ane Allen, Miss Crawford" and Sea Wall and the former, won with K. Dugan up. The otlieial jockey board had Sumter posted as the jockey riding Lane Allen. The official memoranda furnished to the bookmakers also contained the same misinformation. At the last moment there was a hurried effort to rectify the error, but it came too late. The fact that K. Dugan rode Lane Allen became quickly noised about and created a sensation. Thousands of bettors backed Miss Crawford from the notoriously inconsistent W. W. Darden's stable at odds-on and ignored the consistent Lane Allen, laboring under the mistaken impression that Miller was opposed by a novice instead of E. Dugan. The bookmakers' slips in the last race also erred in having the distance at six furlongs instead of seven. .lailios IS. Brady was a well supported favorite for the first face of the day, but second to The Squire was the best lie could do, the determining factor being Buxton on his back against Miller on The Squire. With riders exchanged, the result would have been the other way. The CO to 1 shot Hollister was a good third, but Senator Barrett, much fancied by many, retired to obscurity after being prominent in the early running. A band of three-year-olds under education at jumping, contested the short course steeplechase that was second on the day's program. They were decidedly unruly and all but Sandy Creeker, Touchwood, St. Kick and Lizzie Flat indulged in a half-mile breakaway at full speed before the race proper. Sandy Creeker went well throughout and, in a game stretch effort, outfooted Touchwood and came in first but had gone outside of the course on a turn and was disqualified. Touchwood took the race by this and showed himself to be a promising young jumper by leading by a .vide gap for most of the route. St. Nick was a bad third. Three fell, Motor, Lizzie Flat and Hayseed and all of this unlucky trio are deemed promising. Sir John Johnson took the third race for Mr. San-ford. His victory was not unexpected, lie having been well backed and going to the post second choice to Robert Cooper. He got into the lead early and won all the way in the style of a good one. A rank outsider. Father KofTee, was backed from 100 o to 1 to "0 to 1, and finished a good second m a jgamo finish. Castlewood, Carrollton and Robert Cooper were next in a lapped-on bunch behind him :ind be might have hurt some of the bookmakers' feelings had lie finished first. James K. Kcene's fast filly, Veil, with eight pounds in her favor, defeated the crack filly, Gold Lady, in the Hunter Handicap at a mile. Veil had not been running well in her most recent races, but she ran a fast mile here and has evidently recovered 2ier good form. Gold Lady was taken back and waved to the stretch, then came on very fast into second place, with Danoscara a close-up third. Kennyetto ran a, fast three-quarters in the lead and quit, something decidedly different from her running at Saratoga. The tabled history of the Hunter Handicap since 1S95 is as follows: "Year. With Ironsides, Right Royal and Mainchanee scrntchod from the fifth race, Lane Allen had no-trouble alHUit disposing of Miss Crawford and Sea Wall." A band of fast ones contested the last race, a dash of seven furlongs. Grapple was a decided favorite, and won in a close finish witli Wes. The latter was in dillicultics on several occasions and might have won with a clear course. Escutcheon ran in surprising form and is evidently ready to carry off a three-quarters sprint before long. It is officially announced that J. J. MeCafferty has been reinstated by the Pacific Jockey Club. Oxford has passed (the crisis in his illness and will recover. It is officially announced that the purses and stakes at Belmont Park will be substantially increased next year. Mars Cassidy resumed starting today. Lyman Davis will not serve as secretary or in any capacity at the new race track at Arcadia, important and pressing business interests preventing liis acceptance of the position. This is otlieial. Captain Hacked of San Francisco was a visitor at Belmont. .1. A. Drake is alsi in evidence. He disciplined his jockey. Garner, suspending him indefinitely for insubordination and drunkenness. All bookmakers are now prohibited from sending representatives into the paddock to interview trainers and owners before the running of a race. The stewards declare the rule was passed for the best interest of good-class racing. Latonia Favorites Fail Again LATONIA FAVORITES FAIL AGAIN. Cincinnati, .. October 1". P.ig fields made up today's card and the defeat of six favorites proved disappointing and costly to bettors. The vicUiry of Coiivolo in t he feature race, at a mile and a sixteenth, was unpopular. On liis previous showing he was not considered seriously and was at all times the outsider in the speculation, preference being accorded Lexoline, Light Wool and Polly Prim. The trio failed to get a place. Convolo, after showing the most speed throughout, winning by a small margin from Lady Esther. From the press stand it appeared as if Light Wool had finished third by a safe margin, but the judges were of a. different opinion and gave that position to Edwin Gum. Hough riding on the part of Pickens, astride Warner Griswell in the fifth, was partly responsible for encompassing Beau BruninieFs defeat and also for Hazel Patch's failure to make a better showing. He crowded the pair dangerously to the inner rail just before rounding the stretch turn and to save themselves from going over the fence. Lee and Brown, the riders of Beau Brummel and Hazel Patch respectively, pulled back sharply. Hazel Patch especially suffering by the mishap. Pickens was fined $50 by the judges for his foul riding. Miss Fadden, in .the fourth, was the lone choice to get home in front. She was a handy winner from the start. C. Koerner, who rode her, also won on McChord in. the last race, after a sharp tussle to wear down Merrick. Koerner resorted to a sharp trick after drawing level with Merrick by bumping him. ThQ rejuvenated Clifton Forge found it difficult to overcome the interference lie was subjected to and gave the favorite players their first setback by bis failure to get a place in the opening dash. No Quarter, a frequent disappointment, taking the purse from Bensonhurst. A field of fourteen again faced the starter in the second, and, like the preceding race, the favorite failed to finish in the money. Alertness on the part of Mountain in getting Pleasant View .Belle away from the rost with an advantage enabled her to win. Arrow Swift and Vansel, both belonging to the ranks of in-an-outers, were In running moods today, and had the sixth between them all the way. W. F. Presgrave and Thomas Clyde were interested spectators. General Nelspn A. Miles and his son, Lieutenant Miles, were at the track during the morning, and looked over several horses with a view to purchase for their own use to ride. Martin Doyle, from 'the cast, stated that he has five good-looking youngsters at Lexington in charge of John Rodegap, who is putting them through their first paces. Arthur Carr, foreman for T. L. Pierce, was removed today to a local hospital suffering with typhoid pneumonia. J. B. Respess will not race any horses this winter. He lias signified his intention of disposing of most of his old horses and wintering the remaining ones as well as his youngsters at Churchill Downs. Keene Stable Successes: Grandsire, Sire and Son a Wonder Ful Trio of Individuals KEESE STABLE SUCCESSES. GRANDSIRE, SIRE AND SON A WONDERFUL TRIO OF INDIVIDUALS. Domino, Commando and Colin the Modern Tools Used by the Grand Old Sportsman How Domino Was Acquired. Now in the autumn of liis life. James R. Keenc, for thirty years prominent in turf affairs in three countries America, England and France has been vouchsafed his most sueessful year in point of prestige achieved and money won by horses bred at his Castleton Stud, in Kentucky. Many who have from time to time noted the steady increases of the stable's earnings have asked from what came such success, writes Joseph E. Burke in the New York Herald. It may not bo too much to say that the greatest contributing cause was the foundation laid fifteen years ago in the almost accidental purchase of the little black whirlwind, Domino, whom other shrewd men, possibly on account of the lack or size in the horse, passed up. There lay the founding of that wonderful trio of wonderful individuals, Domino, Commando and Colin (grandsire, sire and son), the like of which has never before been seen on the American turf. But of this purchase and the Interesting details as to how it all came about more later. True, before and after that Mr. Keenc replenished his stud with the best blood to be had in English mares, and he had the great good fortune of having in his stud management the invaluable services of F. A. Daingcrlield, his brother-in-law. Again, about seven years, ago, Mr. Keene engaged James Howe to train his horses. This last was, in all probability, as wise a 'move as the great turfman ever made, for, .looking over the whole field of professional horsemen, it is indeed difficult to find one in whom so many desirable requisites are combined. Millions have been won by Mr. Keene on the turf in the thirty years of his connection with it, but even so, he cannot be said to have profited largely after his expenses are considered. A commission of $100,000 to W. L. Powers to replenish his stud Avith English mares, seven years ago, resulted in the purchase, among others, of Pastor-ella, the beautiful mother of the renowned Colin. Year after year, beginning as far back as 1S70, Mr. Keene has been a persistent buyer of the best. He bought Spendthrift in 1S7S for $15,000, turned him over to Colonel Puryear, in New Jersey, and then won the Belmont Stakes of 1S79 with this son of Australian, which could have won the Withers but for the fact that Mr. Keene preferred to win that race "with Dan Sparling, his stable companion. Mr. Keene bought many yearlings at the Kentucky sales, outbidding the Dwyers and others, and among others he got Foxiiall, a son of King Alfonso, for ?C50, and entered him iu many English stakes and the Grand Prix at Paris. He won the latter race in 1SS1, after having run second to the great Bend Or in the City and Suburban Handicap at Epsom. Unfortunately for Mr. Keene, Foxhall was not entered in the Derby, which was won by Mr. Lorillard's Iroquois. He achieved two notable victories in the fall of his three-year-old career When he won the Cesarewitch and Cambridgeshire Handicaps, in the latter carrying 12G pounds, including a fourteen-pound penalty, and his feat has never been equalled. Thus, as far back as 1SS1, an unfortunate omission of Foxhall from the Derby prevented the possibility of his achieving the distinction of winning the great race, a task that for more than 100 years the family of Lord Derby, after whom the great race was named, has tried to achieve. The stake was won by Lord Derby in 17SS, but with the adoption of a change of colors black jacket and white cap the various successors to the title of Lord Derby have failed to win the race. So anxious was the present Lord Derby to win it last year that "Danny" Mahcr, the American jockey, who rode for the English nobleman, said with feeling that he would almost give one of his arms to win the Derby for his employer. Maher had already won the great race three times for other turfmen. In 1SS3 -the first Great Eastern Handicap was run at Sheepshead Bay, and James R. Keene's Dutch Roller won It, ridden by Edward Garrison. That is the only time the classic has fallen to the "white, blue spots" of Mr. Keene. But nearly all the other great prizes of the Amcripan turf have gone to him. The Suburban is a notable race not yet won by him, however. The Withers has been won for Mr. Keene by Dan Darling, Domino and Delhi. The Belmbnt by Spendthrift, Commando and Delhi; the Great Republic by Delhi, Sysonby and Ballot; Great American by Domino, Dalesman and Colin; the Great Trial by Domino, Commando and Colin (grandsire, sire and son); the Century by Sysonby and Ballot; the Futurity by Domino, Chacornac and Colin; the Flatbush by Colin; the Eclipse by Domino and Colin; the Annual Champion by Sysonby; the Brighton Handicap by Toddy and Peter Pan; the Brooklyn Derby by Petruchio and Peter Pan; the Brooklyn Handicap four times, with Hornpipe, Conroy, Delhi and Superman; the Junior Champion by Commando and Sysonby; the Juvenile by Doublet and Tommy Atkins; the Realization by Sysonby; tha Matron by Agitator and Ballot; the Metropolitan (Continued on second page.) KEENE STABLE SUCCESSES. (Continued from first page.) Handicap by Voter, and Sysonby ran a dead heat vith Race King; the Saratoga Special by Sysonby and Colin; the Spinaway by Court Dress;" the Tidal by Sysonby and Peter Pan; the Twin City Handicap by Wild Mint, and the White Plains by Votur and Conroy. On June C, 1S92, came a day to Mr. Kcene which will always live in his memory. On that day the Dixiana yearlings, bred annually by Rnrak G. Thomas, in Kentucky, were sold in New York city at TatlcrsaHs Seventh avenue and Fifty-fifth street. Mr. Kccnc sent for William Easton ami asked him to look over the yearlings, as his own time was too valuable. Mr. Easton complied with Mr. Keene's request, and particularly called his attention to the brown colt by llimyar, out of Maimio Gray. This was a full brother to Correction, a filly raced by .Messrs. Morris, and which had established a great record for speed, having in one race run half a mile in 401 seconds. Mr. Keene and his son Foxhall spent a long time in careful examination of this colt. When, on the evening of Monday, June (5, 1892, the Dixiana yearlings were offered, the first on the list, the brother; to Correction elicited only two bids. One was $2,000, made by David T. Pulsirer, owner of Teiiny, the. horse which nt that time almost dominated the turf,, as his great rival, Salvator, had been retired, and only Longstreet was left to do battle with Tenny; for premier honors. Foxhall Keene offered the sec-, ond bid, $3,000, and the colt was knocked down to Iris bid for his father and himself. Because of lack or competition for this colt, the! Messrs. Keene could not understand why they got Uim so cheaply, and asked Major Thomas if there: were any hidden defects. "I am not in the habit of selling yearlings without calling attention to their defects, if they have any," said the veteran i breeder. "Von need not take him; 1 will keep the colt if you do not want him.' "No, no," answered both the Messrs. Keene, "your word is quite sufficient." Thus was laid the foundation of the greatest racing stable in America, for without Domino there' would have been no Disguise, no Cap and Dolls and no Commando; and without Commando there, would have been no Colin, Peter Pan, Superman or Colt. There would have been no Court Dress, Pope Juan, Veil and others, daughters or Disguise, a son" of Domino, which won in England one of the $50,000 stakes there, and ran third in the Derby of 1900, won by Diamond Jubilee. Cap and Dells won the Oaks for Mr. Keene. But One Windsor Favorite Wins BUT ONE WINDSOR FAVORITE WINS. Detroit, Mich., October 10. Today's results at Windsor told another tale of defeated favorites, Oleasa, winner of the fifth race, being the only public choice that made good. The winners in some of the events sprung from most unexpected quarters and some of the reversals were as startling as they were sudden. The biggest disappointment of the afternoon was the poor showing of Ketchemike, favorite in the fourth race. Ketchemike opened at a short price, but steadily receded in the betting. Ante-post indications made Eonite look like the right one, but a series of interferences spoiled whatever chance the Pangle youngster might have had. When, the start came, Riley left the post pulling Ketchemike up and, when he moved up, he elected to go to the outside and take the longest route. This move gave Padrone an advantage which it was impossible to overcome. In the sixth race Cock Sure ran like a stake horse. He dashed into a long lead in the first furlong and in the run down the backstretch increased his advantage to fifteen lengths. Delaby took a restraining hold of him in the final furlong and, after being eased up, be won by ton lengths. Oleasja led her field throughout in the. fifth race and had a live lengths' advantage as tho winning mark was passed. Avaunteer made a runaway affair of the feature race, a mile handicap, in which he beat Colonel Jack out a length. Avaunteer was the extreme outsider in the betting. Bernhardt put up a rattling good ride on Merry George in the steeplechase, and landed him an easy winner from lint well. At tho first jump one of the stirrup irons on Merry George's saddle broke ind Bernhardt was almost" unseated. He scrambled riack into the saddle and for the remainder of the ;rip rode with but one stirrup. Phil Finch-Carthage Exchange PHIL FINCH -CARTHAGE EXCHANGE. 4 There is often a strong eastern disposition to consider it old Phil Finch's day and time when he starts. Phil Finch has come to be regarded by many speculators as a horse that just must win sometime, and so they keep plugging away at him. Enough .money has been lost on him to buy him twenty times over. The only reasons for it all are that he was once like Red Friar a good horse and is still in action. Nowadays his admirers are in the mood to wait for him at Xew Orleans. As a matter of fact, Phil Finch has been a tough proposition In a racing way to both his owner and the public since he was bid up and taken from Captain Jim Williams at l.atonia. Williams retaliated by claiming Carthago from-J,--li;--Ke!pess and got by far the best of the enforced change. Since it Phil Finch has run eleven races with this record in a financial way: Horse. The last-named has quite recovered from the serious kicking she received from Temeraire at the recent Leopardstown meeting. Dr. McCabe preceded the horses and will take charge of their training while in England. Allen, Mr. Croker's private trainer, remaining at home to look after the charges there. Hayden is engaged in the Cesarewitch and Cambridgeshire, and Rhodora holds a number of liabilities at headquarters. Bookmaker-Owner Ruling BOOKMAKER-OWNER RULING. Lexington, Ky., October 10. The State Racing Commission at its meeting today sustained Judge Hopper in his refusal to permit J. U. Strode to start Whisk Broom at Latonia, and in his contention that Fred Cook was in violation of the bookmaker-owner rule. The commission, however, so construed the rule as to permit any bookmaker owning horses to lease their running qualities to another person during the term of racing In this state, and left tho question of the genuineness of such lease or bill of sale entirely with the judges at the meetings. Page 6 New English Riding Record: W. Higgs Rides Five Successive Winners at Newbury NEW ENGLISH RIDING RECORD. W. Higgs Rides Five Successive Winners at Newbury. September 27 at Xewbnry, AV. Iliggs, the crack English lightweight jockey rode live winners in succession, but was beaten on Alistair for the Manton Nursery Stakes. The following is a list of jockeys who have ridden five successive winners in England: George Fordham, at Bibury Club Meeting (Stock-bridge). Fred Archer, six in succession, at Lewes, August , 1SS2; live at Chester, 1SS3; five at Windsor, May 24, 1S84; six at Bibury Club (Stockbridge) , 1SS4. S. Ciiandley, five (his only mounts), in succession at Pontefract Summer Meeting, July (!, 1S93. "Tod" Sloan, five in succession at Newmarket, September 30, 1S9S. Tom Loates, five (his only mounts), at Windsor, May 2, 1S96. C. Trigg, five in succession at Edinburgh, October 3, 1902, and five at AVorcester, October 25, 1000. AA. Iliggs, live successive wins, Newbury, September 27, 1907. AA'iien mapping out the Xewbnry course, Mr. John Porter suggested there should be a perceptible rise to the winning post. Iliggs was one of the first to be alive to the fact that the climb to the judges' box was a severe one, and those who watch Ills riding methods closely, find that he likes to make his winning effort and secure a lead of a length or two before commencing the rise. Then he knows it takes a god, game horse to get to him. A curious coincidence in connection with Iliggs performance was that his mounts were humliered on the card 2, 4,vr, 2, 4, 5, in that order. Iliggs lias had three mounts in Xewbnry Cups, and has won on each occasion, his previous successes having been achieved on Ramrod and Fugleman, the latter sharing the honors with Man-aton. Winner of Two Grand Nationals WINNER OF TWO GRAND NATIONALS. C. A. Rea, a resident of Brandon, Man., supplies the following interesting particular to the Winnipeg Telegram, respecting a double winner of the Grand National Steeplechase: Sir: Referring to letters which have recently appeared in the columns of some English sporting papers on the subject of two race horses, both named Peter Simple, I can, perhaps, supply a few particulars which may be of interest to your readers regarding the bay steeplechaser Peter Simple. This horse was by Patron, dam by Archer, and was bred by my grandfather near AA'ooler in Northumberland, by whom he was sold as a three-year-old in 1S45. AA'hile being led home from the sale in q'uestion, he broke loose and bolted and, getting entangled in the rope of his halter, fell and injured himself so severely that he was condemned to be shot. He was, however, reprieved at the last moment and recovered, though he bore the marks of tills accident all his life in the shape of broken knees. He was next sold for a very small price to run in a stage coach, but not proving a success at tills work, again changed hands for a good deal under one hundred dollars and became the property of Joseph Atkinson, a fanner in the neighborhood, who discovered his merits, and for whom he won a few minor races, and eventually passed into other hands and accomplished the performances of twice winning the Grand National Steeplechase in the years 1849 and 1S53. Peter Simple has been described to me by my father as a horse with powerful loins and quarters ' and great propelling power, but with very indifferent . , shoulders, and as one of the worst hacks imaginable. My cousin lias a painting of Peter Simple as a 1 foal running with his dam. He is shown as a 1 big, strong colt, while the mother is what we should now . describe as a good looking broodmare of hunter type and scarcely shows the quality one ; would expect in the dam of a Grand National 1 winner in these days. Some Humor of the Turf , , SOME HUMOR OF THE TURF. "How did the horse come out of his race?" inquired the curious man of an owner whose steed , had been so Inconsiderate as to run second, beaten 1 a whisker. "Better than I did," was the answer. A piker who had the Belle of Jessamine tip for r the second race at Brighton Beach October 0, handed .fS 4o "Bismarck," a bookmaker once famous a in the days of Guttenberg as an attache and attendant of Fred AA'albauin. "Fifty-six to eight," said the German, who had S to I on his slate. "Xo, sixty-four to eight," exclaimed the piker. "It's fifty-eight to eight," cried Bismarck, scratching his head and thinking hard. Then his sheet ; writer whispered: "Sixty-four," and Bismarck looked relieved. "Speaking of jumpers and bad falls steeplechase e riders have had reminds me of a session of the e 'Poached Egg Club' of delightful memory at Saratoga a a few years ago," said a cross-country enthusiast. "Charlie Trevathan, who is dead and gone, was ; there, and a number of good fellows, including a gentleman rider of some years back for whom no jump was ever too stiff in his day. The steeplechasers had the floor, and the talk ran on accidents and the length of time riders had been put 'out' ' for after a fall. "By the way," said Trevathan to the gentleman " jockey, "how-long were you 'out' the time Cyclone e fell with you?" '"Twenty-nine days," replied the hard-riding one, ;: imperturbably, "and that broke all previous rec- ords." "Boomerang by Peep o'Day Marie Lovell," mused d an old Guttenberger as he glanced at the entries In the seventh race at Brighton Beacli October 3. I "Remember Marie Lovell and old Bill Lovell? I There's a one-time jockey hop-scotching around somewhere named Frankie Williams who remembers them both well enough. j "It was in the days when some of the boys were not above laying up a heat on occasion, and old Bill had Marie Lovell in one day well, we'll j ' say for work. Williams was up, and Bill said to him in the paddock: 'Xowj Frank, this js a nice mare. Don't hurt her.' "Frank understood all right, but Marie Lovell ! got away from him and won by a block. "AVilliams told the story the next day. 'Old Bill lias about 110 acres down there in his place,' said he, 'and I think I covered every acre of it when lie got after me.' " At Latonia, October 7, Warner Griswell and Black Fox ran a race in which there was some rough riding, and out of it came this incident told by the Enquirer: "Some people are born lucky. A man got a tip from a friend of his to get a bet on Hazel Patch early, so he walked into the ring immediately after AVarner Griswell had passed under the wire just at the time Jack Sheehan's book was a storm center. Jack had seen a foul, and he was willing to bet ' even money that the horse would be disqualified. The man with the Hazel Patch tip thought that the odds were on the next race and shoved up forty liones, got the ticket and hustled out to tell his friends about it. 'What t' hell is this?' asked his friend; 'you have a ticket here with disqualification written on it. AVhat does that mean?' " 'I never bet on that horse, said the man, and they hustled back into the ring, and just then the little board was displayed. They went to Sheehan's cashier for an explanation and were informed ihat tiie ticket was a winner, as Warner Griswell had not been set back. 'Oh,' said the man, and pocketed the dough." Notes of the Turf NOTES OF THE TURF. II. K, Knapp, of the State Racing Commission, says that in all probability there will be no decision for a month by the Court of Appeals on the Empire City matter. Arthur McKnight, who acceptably filled the post of starter at Seattle during the recent meeting, has been engaged with his two assistants to do the starting on the Texas circuit. Mark Riordan, a bookmaker at work in the Bel- mont Park enclosure, fell to the floor while making up his odds for the fourth race AA'ednesday and was conveyed to his home after an examination by the track physician, Dr. Voorhees. Robett AA'alden will take a big stable to New Orleans and will ship to the Crescent City Immediately after Benning. The horses lie will take south constitute the entire stable that runs in the name of his mother, Mrs. R. AA'. AA'alden, also that of Henncn and David Morris. It is improbable that Belle of Jessamine, cut down in her last race, will be seen in public again. Waldcn bought the mare from Thomas Hayes for breeding purposes ami he lias about decided to leave her at Bowling Brook and breed her to Cliil-, ton next spring. Chilton is a full brother to Perseverance and Brookdale Nymph, at the head of the Waldcn stud. ' . , 1 1 ; 1 , 1 r a ; e e a ; a ' " e ;: d 3.
