MORE FIGURES SASXSVKWlSVfV I ROUTE May Soon Own Its Own Road Mrs Into Louisville Saturday Past Year SKETCH OP THIS POPULAR KOAD Tho Henderson Route may soon have its own line into Loulsvlllo At the last few meetings of the board of directors tho project of building from West Point to Louisville has been seriously dis ¬ cussed and if the roads earnings con tlnue to be as good as they have been during the paRt year it may not be long before the Louisville Henderson and St Louis will own an independent road out of Louisville The road over since it began to oper- ¬ ate aa tho Loulsvlllo St Louis and Texas has had its line from Went Point to Henderson It at that time came into Louisville from West Point over tbo Chesapeake Ohio and Southwestern and when that road came into the pos session of the Illinois Central a contract was made with tho purchaser to uso the Illinois Central tracks from West Point and also to uso the Illinois Central termi- ¬ nals in Louisville Just before the Texas went into the hands of a receiver the company had gone so far toward building Into Louisville as to get a right of way and to grade about two thirds of the twenty miles which sepraate West Point and Louls- ¬ vlllo This right of way crosses at West Point and proceeds through Bullitt county in the general course of the L N When the Texas company was reorganized into the Henderson Route the new company secured the old right of way and now controls the improve- ¬ ments made by the old company It is believed that when the company builds it will have the backing of the Louisville and Nashvlll with which it Tho Henderson is closely identified Route uses the tracks of the L and N from Evansville to St Louis and if it builds into Louisville it is likely that the Union Depot at Tenth
