burial was at the Cemetery Theres More Good Than Evil We are deeply grateful to those people who expressed their approval of what we had to say in last issue re garding lawlessness in Lancaster No matter how hard a newspaper strives to hold up for its town not one man in five hundred ever thinks to thank the editor for his efforts Its no trouble whatever to write up news but when it comes to commenting a man must weigh every have to be even more cautious than ministers or other speakers This paper wears the collar of no man or set of men but we try to be con servative Our article on the out rageous state of affairs in Lancaster was complimented by the best people in the town There are ten good people to every bad one in Lancaster and there is absolutely no reason wliy the town should continue to be looked upon as the most lawless in the state Garrard Should Be Represented Gov Beckham has appointed F S Hughes Commissioner to represent Garrard county in Louisville during Home Comming Week and it is time for the Garrard county people to get together and raise the necessary a mount to defray expense of buying badges a register and pay other ex penses in having Garrard county properly prepared to entertain all those who come home to this gather ing The City of Louisville will fur nish the buildings in which to place the booths of the different counties so the expense will be very small and our people should get busy and have all arrangements made at once The would suggest that a meeting be held for this purpose at court house at some near date Lets see who will have enough enterprise to take this matter in hand Miss Sallie Eikin has been named as hostessand a better se lection could not have been made Lancaster wordnewspa- pers J Record Cheap Rates To Cincinnati
