is remarkable how much time is wasted by ministers dis cussing such mousetracks when they should be striving to save souls It makes little difference to the hustling world whether Cain was the son oi Adam and few people give Adam about such minor questions Surprises come when not expected of course The girl in Terre Haute that committed suicide because her mother would not let her wash the dishes created a greater surprise than if she bud sought a divorce because her husband loved her too well A Philadelphia girl who discovered she could not become an actress went to cooking If the hundreds of others who are proving a failure before the footlights will only see the truth in this way the perplexing cook question will be solved An Alabama woman sued for divorces because her husband woke up in the night and laughed Conclusive evi dence was that he knew something be would not tell her and she should be given the rqucsted papers and plenty of alimony A Chicago hotel refused to permit Lillian Russell to keep her dog inside its walls and the daughter of William Jennings Bryan was not allowed keep her dog in a Virginia Such treatment was a dog gone shame Now that Louisville and Lexington have ceased burdening the public with claims as to which would have the biggest fair the people will enter into their closets and give thanks for the relief Theatrical men are complaining of the shortage of chorus girls As the pretty chorus gills are about all worth seeing in the shows these days it looks as if the theatrical business is in danger 2An exchange wants to know what the women do with all the things they buy at the dry goods stores and the Louisville Herald answers correctly by saying they take them back and have them exchanged An Ohio lawyer charged a young lady whose guardian he was 5 for selecting a hat for her According to the work and worry in that job he would charge So 50 for winding up the entire estate An English physician declares that he has discovered a
