Banquet The banquet given by Lancaster Chapter 50 Royal Arch Masons was decidedly the most elaborate and ever given in Lancaster About one hundred companions sat down to the sumptions meal which had been prepared by the skilled hands of the wives daughters and sweethearts of the local Masons It was served in the handsome new store room of Ilaselden Bros the decorated tables making complete a most Herndon delivered the address of welcome The work by the Lancaster Chapter was pronounc ed satifactory by Inspector Burnam Dies In Indiana Olliver Terrill aged 50 died at his home in New Richmond Ind June 2nd of heart disease He had been sufferer and an invalid for about four years He was a son of henry T and Fannie Terrill was born in Gar rard county Ky June 81850 died in New Richmond June 2 107 lIe ws the youngest of nine children only three of whom two sisters and one brother survive him They are Mrs Fannie Walker Point Level Ky Mrs Eliza Ramsey Paint Lick Ky and Clelland Terril Norman Ohlahoma He was married to Miss Maggie Maup in JulyS 1S75 near Richmond Ky To this union were born seven children one died in infancy He was a member of the Presbyterian church in child hood and joined the Masonic Orderat the age of 21 years The interment was made in the New Richmond cemetery Lancaster Creamery Association This enterprise on the part of the Garrard county famers will be ready for operation in about two weeks A meeting was held by the stockholders on the 8th for the purpose of getting ready foropening of the Creamery The capacity of the plant is JUO cows and the stockholders though able to fur nish enough cows to run the plant on a profitable basis can not furnish en ough to run to its full capacity and at the meeting it was decided to give all the farmers in Garrard county the benefit of the plant and 6 B Swine broad as manager was selected to take the names of those who are not stockholders who desire to furnish milk to the plant and the number of cows they will put in Thus those who are not stockholders will reap the benefit of this plant be ing established at this place Any one desiring to take advantage of this should see Mr Swinebroad at once There will be another melting on next Saturday the 15th at 2 oclock r M to which all who are interested are invited co attend Mr Swinebroad tells us that the stockholders will start in with about 200 the lid on Sunday saloons and other evils and his manly attracted such wide attention that he is now being constantly called upon by the people of other towns to address their organizations for the upholding of the law and civic improvements lie was given a most cordial greeting by our City Council and other prominent citizens and invited to make an address in Lancaster in the near future which he accepted The Press Association The midsummer meeting of the Kentucky Press Association will be held at Estill Springs beginning next Monday and continuing through the week D B Wallace of the Warsaw Independent is president Lew B Brown Ilarrodsburg Democrat is vice president and W V Richardson News secretary It is estimated that fully one hundred editors will be present In addition to these the meeting will be attended by the wives sisters and sweethearts of the quill drivers Tine mornings will be devoted to the discussion and transaction of matters of importance to the state press while
