elgbtyaecond membership was well seated Eld F M Tinder read a history of this church which was In the Danville Advocate some time prior to the year 1874 written by Mr Jacob Robinson a pioneer member who was a man of strong mind and a faithful servant of the Lord This article covered tbo period from tbe organization of the church to the date of publication It was a splendid production and a thorough knowledge of the moat minute occurrences which go to make up the history of the church After this reading a paper was read by Mr B F Hudson which be had prepared giving a more modern and complete history of tbe church This paper was very much admired on account of Its methodical and aqalytl cal arrangement and Its clear con cise and lucid style It makes men lion of all the ministers who bad charge of the congregation since 1871 U well as all the elders and deacons who have served since that time It gives an extended notice of Ladles Aid Society which was organized In 1874 as an adjunct to the church and states that society had expended for repairs on tbe church furniture and other things more tban 13000 besides contributing 1500 te the building of the prayer meeting room In speak ing of the 0 W B M we quote the following from tbe paper Another arm of this church reaching out all over our land sowing seeds of kind ness educating the Ignorant and car rying the light of the
