application for which liceno shall be mime iiig to the clerk of the Council nt least five days before the granting of said li censeSec 2 The sutra to be paid each year that such license may bo granted shall be as follows For license to keep a saloon the sum 1000 per annum i for license to mer chants to sell such liquors who sell by the quart the sum of 1000 i for license qllonlltlctlnot 1000 for license to sell ale beer or porter by the wholesale in quantities not less than five gallons including nil agents the Sl1l11Of UM Sec a The license mentioned above to merchants and druggists shall not
