Sterling Tuesday morning and died yesterday even ing She was standing with her back to the grate when her dress caught fire Her clothing was burned from her body and the flesh fell off in some places Mr Watson her father is overcome with grief The girls mother died only u few months since College Burned Kentucky Wesleyan College at Winchester was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning with all its con tents The loss is 75000 with insurance of 20000 It was the officialschool of Methodists of Kentucky The building was erected in 1891- Pinevillo+ wentdry by a vote t of 238 to 58 I The freight depot at execution in the Coving ton jail Roy Green and James Cootnes negroes are under sen tence of death in the Owensboro jail Green for killing a white man and Coomes for the murder of his wife and four negroes are in the Hopkins county jail await ing execution for the murder fo an unknown white man a year ago Three of these have their cases pending before the Court of Appeals while George Hollands
