nature have been to find oil or gas in Powell county but with ir different re sults It is said that new leases havo been taken on territory near Stanton and that tests in earnest willshortly be made to find out whether oil or gas really exists there in paying quantities Win chester Democrat That there is both oil and gas in Powell has time and again been demonstrated but it has never been found in sufficient quantities to justify the laying of a pipe line info the field If pipe line were already in this territory there are now already several paying oil wells in the county There are already
