rj k It- i w4v i A NEW BRIDGE Fiscal Court Meets and call for bids to construct Bridge at Rosslyn The Fiscal Court was called in extra session Tuesday of this week to consider the changing of the river ford at Rosslyn or the fixing the present ford which has washed out so travel can no longer get over the river there When the court convened every member of the court favored the construction of an iron bridge at that point So an order was made to have same constructed at once and calling forbids from the different bridge compaines The court will meet again Friday Feb 15 and award contract for the building of the bridge if the bids or anyone of them prove ac ceptable to the court This is a wise step taken by the court and one that will meet with the approval of nearly every citizen in Boonesboro The Fort will be patterned af ter the original structttr erected by Daniel Boone within present bounds of Madison county It will be 350 feet long and 75 feet wide facing on time beach of Hampton Roads The main en tnyico to the stockade will be but a few paces from the ocean waters Four block houses or cabins will mark the four corners of the stockade each of these cabins being two
