surely build one bridge and possibly two this year now seems assured Acting up6n the order irmde at the special term of the Fiscal Court last week there is more than one bridge company on the ground looking at the sites and estimates of the cost and otherwise getting ready to put in bids Friday when the Fiscal Court meets again to award bids It is thoroughly decided to i huild a bridge at Rosslyn as the ford at this place has been wash ed until it can no longer be us ed and something has to be done there Another point has been suggested to the county accom panied by a proposition of the citizens This point is Walters old ford The citizens here ask the court to appropriate GOO 00 toward a bridge and the citizens say they will raise the remainder of the cost by private subscription The proposition is looked upunby the court most favora bly and it is more than likely that the court will make this or der Friday mid it is thought that if it does make such order Pow- ellj will certainly get two bridges i this year j The last named point being in this end of the county should re ceive the attention of all our people and lend the project real financial aid at the proper time Clay City will especially be ben efitted by the building of this bridge A Real Nice Valentine Mr and Mrs Millard Oarr are rejoicing over the arrival of a bran new girl x which came to their home in this city this city last Spring and located at Iruax Ind Ter to reside permanently found that state top unhealthful for both he and his family and like Edward Rose was compelled to return to Ken tucky to regain their health and will in the future be contented with their residence in the grand old State The Reason Why The reason George W Ander son is wearing that broad smile andagreeable grin is because it is a boy and came Monday the 11th to stay permanently The new comer keeps papa posted as to the hour of the night and al ways has him up to business at least one hour earlier than formerly COURTNEY A Good Company AJ E Rankin representing the Champion Bridge Company of Wilmington Ohio is at Stan ton to bid on the bridge or bridges to be built by the county The Champion Bridge Company erected the
