scription was started as an in ducement to having it located here The sum of 230000 was subscribed and Mr J 0 Pat rick proposed to donate ten acres of land for the site of the school This is an the county became engaged in an altercation using knives as weapons Dick Bowen a brother to the ones engaged in the trouble attempted to quiet them when Sid Bowen one of the combat ants turned on the brother peace maker and cut him whereupon he in turn struck Sid to force him to submission The blow though aimed to subdue him had deadly effect The slayer was not able to be arrested or stand trial so he is at his home in a dangerous condi tion The trouble is a most de plorable affair It is bad when men of no relation differ and kill but it is doubly so when brothers engage in a lewdly af fray
