Dalton of Lexington Miss Mos es of London Miss Mollie John son of Clay City Under the Principalship of Mrs Russell in the past few years the School tit Stanton has advanced from the ordinary common school course to the highest line of study now taught in any public school in the State This speaks well for both the Board of trus tees and Mrs Russell Our Prospect for heel The prospects are very bright for the college mentioned in a former issue of this paper to be located at Powells county seat The citizens of Stanton have rais ed 5000 as an inducement for its location there The location of this school is to be decided by the Synods of the Presbyterian Churches of Pennsylvania and New York The first named state his held their meeting and decided in Stantons favor The latter state will shortly pass on the location of the scjiool Stanton is said to be consider ably in the led of competitive points and it 4s thought that the action of the Pennsylvania Synod has practically settled the matter If this project is finally decided in our favor and we be lieve it will be all of Powell county will be greatly benelitted Some of our best people have left the county because of the inadequate
