COURT Monday was county court day and between 7000 and 8000 cat tle were on the market All the local pens were filled to over flowing with possibly 2500 that couldnt reach the city and had to be pastured outside of town Trade was extremely brisk and the local scales had all they could do to weigh the stock as fast as they were sold Prices were good some cattle selling as high as 400 ijnd 475 but the bulk of the sales were at 450 or less for 000 and 1000 pound steers Yearlings at 8J to 4 cents Heifers at 8 to SJ cents with a few extra ones at Ut Cows at 8 edits old cows and rough oxen at
