as a result of a gas explosion in the Browder mine in Muhlenber county Tuesday Fifteen bodies + have been recovered all of then horribly mutilated and sonic of them past identification Be cause of the accumulation of gas- esr in the entry where the explo sion occurred 170 feet beneath the ground and 700 feet bath from the mine shaft it was im possible to begin active rescue work until six hours
