Ann and Clinton streets Tuesday afternoon at 145 ater a brief illness with pneumonia superinduced by an attack of the grippe The deceased was a most excellent Christian lady who was greatly beloved by all who knew her For many years she lid been a member of the Presbyterian Church and died in the full hope of a glorious life beyond the tomb Her funeral took place Thursday morning at 1 oclock from her late residence the services being conducted by Rev J McD D her Clusky Blayney pastor She leaves five children viz Mr W L Cannon of Woodford county Mrs John P Starks and Mrs John Foster of Louisville and Messrs John W and Frank Cannon of this city to mourn her Â¬ Â¬ Opposite the Farmers Bank The announcement contained the above heading will carry row to a large circle of friends and relatives not only in this commu nity but scattered all over this broad land Mrs McCire was the fourth childjjof George and Mary Todd was born in this city February 20 1813 married the late John D McClure in 1830 and died on Saturday evening January 20 1894 lacking only one month of being 81 years old She professed religion and united with the Presbyterian Church in 1828 By her marriage with Mr Mc Clure she had ten children seven sons and three daughters nine of whom lived to be grown At the time of her death two sons and wo daughters were left Messrs A H and R K McClure of this city Mrs dying yielding in her sense of right yet never harsh to the erring and mis Her aim in life seemed guided to be to do the most good to all and to make the young especially Her house as happy as All that the skill of our best physicians could suggest was done for her relief coupled with the best nursing that loving hands and hearts could render but without avail Slowly the grim monster laid his icy hand upon her loved form With faith unshaken in Him who had been her life long trust she calmly awaited through excruciating agony the summons from on Conscious to the last she high quietlyfell asleep in Jesus In addition to sons and daughters sons in law and daughters-in- law she left a large family of grand and great grandchildren one sister Mrs Mary J Lewis of this city one
