Tho Children's Panacea Tho Mother's Friend. GENUINE The above mnp shows two Senatorial districts In Kentucky, one bclns the smallest In point of population and Democratic, while the other ahows the largpoint of population and Republican In politics. One State Senator Is allow eil the Democrats for 28,000 population, while one State Senator Is allowed tho Republicans to equal one Democrat, or Republicans In tho mountains for 163.000 population, 1910 census. In other words it takes about flvo and 35,000 citizens are disfranchised In the Seventeenth Senatorial district alone. Tint this Is only one Illustration of the most outrageous gerrymandering that was ever practiced In any State in the Union. Tnke the Thirty-thir- d Senatorial district, which is In the mountains and Hcpubllcan and composed of ten coun-1iClay, Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Harlan, Martin, Perry and Tike, with a papulation of 115,075. Its area is 3,382 nquaro miles. Compare It wrttli the Twenty-thir- d Democratic district shown on the map. Ilien turn your attention to tho Representative districts. Hero the gerrymandering was even more .unprincipled. Hancock county Is the Twenty-nint- h ?prescntatlve district with a population of only S.512 and an area of 105 square miles. It has one Representative in tha State Legislature. On tho other fcand, the Repnbltcan Ninety-thir- d district In the mountains, composed of Belt, lfrrlan, Leslie and Perry counties, has a population of 69,214 and an area of Z.371 snuare miles, with ono Representative. 'J'aklng all the Senatorial and ncprcsntatlve districts. It was shown by a decision by tho Court of Appeals that 356,000, or of the population C Kentucky Is disfranchised. It wns to right such a flagrant wrong as this that Judge O Rear declared he would keep the Legislature In session for two years, necessary. Remembering the blood of our forefathers from Lexington to Yorktown, would tha enfranchisement of 336,000 citizens bo expensive jit such a cost? tt IS IT ANY WONDER, IN VIEW OF THESE FACTS, THAT BECKHAM, HALY & CO.
