are inadequate to express what he has done for many of the scholars in attend ance We had pointed out to us young men who two years ago scarcely knew the multiplication table that have un- Â¬ der his able management mastered high- Â¬ er algebra first course in latin first years course in German and have passed the examination highly satisfactory to Bev E P Mickel who was selected as a disinterested examiner In fact many instances of a like char-Â¬ acter were pointed out when the child as lateas ten months ago did not know a letter of the alphabet who on this occa- Â¬ sion came before the audience with well studied recitations and delivered them in a manner that would put tov blush old- Â¬ er scholars in other schools His svstem is a rigid one but certainly a successful one
