in the caso of Texas and Porto Rico wo have paid for acquired territory Cow ardice and humiliation may wrost those islands from us In no other way will they over bs separated A cowardly President may with draw our troops a dishonorable Congressmay surrender to Ague naldo this And this alono is the only possibility i and we do not be hove this a possibility We cannot concoivo of any American
