woman to tell my fortune She said that I had never yet seen the man I would marry that I would know nothing about him but would love and trust htm She Mild he would be a terrible drunkard and would be very cruel to me aid that he would come home one night pad kill my twin babies nnd finally din on u fcl ons bed Not being superstitious or believing in dreams I thought no more of it Two or three years after I mar red n stranger wad our firstborn were twins My husband was n drunkard ns in my dream One night he stayed out later then usual knowing he would como home drunk I moved the cradle containing tho twins In an adjoining room fearing he would wake them Oh my blood freezes in my wins whew I think of that awful night I was in the kitchen fixing supper when I heard his come in I stepped to the door aunt saw him full heavily upon till bed When supper wns ready I went to call him but he was gone I then went to see about my babies 1 turned the cover off them and oh God they were gone sod in their places were two sticks of wood At thnt au uncut the dream of years ago rushed to my mind I remem tiered that tho fortune teller said he would throw them over n cull I rushed to tIll one that was near 1 heard a faint wall When they were rescued one was dead nut the other died In n short time lilt all happened ns I had dreamed the fortune teller told me nand had I heeded it my Stnni per Is claiming to bo tho democratic nominee of tho Hazel Green convention for stnto senator in this district I wish 1to call tho attention of the people of this district to tho fact that Mr tampcr is not tho nominee of snit convention The district is composed of the counties of Breathitt Mngoilin Morgan Owaley and Wolfo In said convention I had instructed for mo tho delegates of Breath itt Msgoffin and Owaley 14 votes while Stamper had oily Wolfe with five vote and Lykins had Morgan with nine votes I also had friundi on the delegation in Morgan and Wolfe BO that when either Stamper or Lykins uwaa dropped I was bound to be nomln ted Mr Stamper law this and through Mr Carter tried to forcibly take MngoBn countys vote and that resulted in two contentions being organized at the same time arid place The contesting delegates from Morgan were seated with Breathitt Magoffin and Owaleye regular delegates and on the call of counties I was nominated receiving 23 of the 38 votes in the district Stamper tried to nominate himself with tho live votes of Wolfe which was all he had I understand that he or his friends have circulated tho report that I didnot accept the nomination or that I would emit neither of which is true I was fairly nominated and will make the race to the end and I will I believe be elected in November- I confidently expect the support of all loyal democrats in
