of February 1908 the Hon J B White of Irvine was made chairman and M F Horton of Campton secretary On motion of Hon A F Byrd a committee of five members of the bar was appointed by the chairman as a committee on resolutions and afterretiring reported the following resolutions which were unanimously adopted RESOLVED lat That we extend to the Hon Augustus E Willson governor of the commonwealth of Kentucky oui sincere thanks for his wise and fitting appointment of Judge G W Stnne of Leitch field as special judge to hold the present term of the Wolfe Circuit court in the absence of the regu lar judge the Hon Robert Rid dell the able distinguished im partial and much loved jurist who is now sick at his home Irvine Judge Stone came to us as a stranger and when he leaves at the close of his labors for the pres ent term ho will leave with the esteem and good wishes of the bur and our people generally- In the discharge of his duties Judge Stone has been able pains taking impartial and fair to all and all the while courteous pa tient and earnest We commend him to all as a just judge and able lawyer and a thorough gentleman and wherever he may go he will carry with him our good wishes
