There is an Interesting incident mentioned in the life of Charles Wesley, which Jed lo the writing of one of bis sweet hymns. One dsy Mr. Wesley was sitting by an open window, looking out over tho beautiful fields In the Hummer time. .Tint then a hawk came swooping down toward a little bird. Tho poor thing, very much frightened, was darting here and there, trying to find some place of refuge. In tho bright, sunny air, In the leafy trees or tho green fields, there was no hiding placo from tho fierce grnip of the hawk. Dut, seeing the window, and the man sitting Hew by tho bird its in it and with a terror toward it, beating heart and a quivering ning founil n refugo in Mr. i esley s om. He sheltered It from n threatening danger and saved it from a horrible death. Mr. Wesley was at the time sufleriug severe trials, and was feeling the need of a refuge In his own time of trouble as much as the trembling little bird did, that nestled In his bosom.
