has a grievance as to be without respect among those who know Its littleness and its meanness In the trial at Lawronccburg it refused to publish a ythlrg favorable to this paper because in doing so it would acorn to endorse tho State administra tion Though a stenographic report of Judge Peaks statement was sent it less than six lines of It was pub lished simply because that statement proved our months but no one expected the end so soon On Satur day night before his death which oc curred tho following Thursday night he assisted his daughters Misses Cora and Edna Lipps off to Wise Va where they were going into business lie was afflicted with diabetis aggra vated by a severe cold Mr Lipps was a native of Virginia and moved to near Danvillo in 1888 where he engaged in farming for 12 years Then buying tho Hustonville Roller Mills ho came to Hustonville and engaged In the milling business until tho time of his death He would have been CO years old had ho lived until tho 18th of this month Mr Lipps leaves his wife seven daughters two sons and two grandchildren- all of whom were present at the funeral service This being the first death In the large family their grief is hard to assuage Ho was a member of tho Baptist church the church in which his father preached for years Tho fu neralservice in tho Baptist church at Hustonville was the largest in attend anco for many years
