2nd Street Louisville on May 17 The sub ject of this sketch was born in Boone county 52 years ago He had always suffered from stomach trouble and dur ing the last two weeks of his life suf fered untold agonies Becoming despondent over ill health and loss of sleep his condition was pitiful He told his loving wife he preferred death She did all she could to cheer him but of no avail He had that horror of IIn gering illness which he said was cer tain In the past few months he became very much concerned about his spiritual welfare He often told his wife he wanted to die and spoke of lov ed ones gone that he did not want to be a care to his family of which he was very fond This preyed on his mind and mental aberation caused him to take his ife His spirit took its flight into mysteries of
