McDaniel running the exchange here o Death of TM Pennington Somerset Journal lie was not a Pulasklan Mr T M Pennington who lost his life hero last week by being thrown from his buggy on our illshaped atreot way the main thoroughfare to the depot but ho w a native and lifelong citizen of Linco county with pulaski associations Soon after I hall settled In Somerset t in the middle of the 19th century and had married o noblo woman to the manner born who died just a year alto t Mr Pennlngton came hero on purpose and married another one of the name kind a daughter of Mr DourneGoltgln then a first class citizen of this count Thus began an acquaintance a friend ship and an appreciated fellowship till now his lamented death at my house Mr Pennington was born in 1824 an ancient brick mansion near Crab Orchard built by Col Whitley one of Kentuckys early celebrated citizen and which was owned so nearly 100 years ago by Ephraim Pennlngton whoso large family of excellent people are every one dead Tim Pennington was a man of pleasing presence of charming sociability brotherly friendship Rood principles moral rectitude and unpreton lon pi ety and beautiful domestic fidelity and good citizenship
