who is the present Commonwealths attorney The Whirl Wind Campaign foe education has no doubt been of great benefit to the cause of educa tion in Rockcastle Dr Kinnaman delivered three lectures in the county Brodhead Mt Vernon and Livingston and at each place was greeted by large and appreciative audiences Dr Kinuaman is a teacher of many years experience and his experience and observation which he so entertainingly spoke should be remembered and as for as possible put into practice His argument in favor of greater interest in the public and high schools was a masterly effort The fact has long since been an established one that the boy who has the advantage of a good public or high school until he finishes the course of study as prescribed in such publicor high school will find but little trouble in getting a college education if capable of receiving such it matters not what his financial conditions may beI Another strong point made by the speaker was the importance of education no matter what the vocation in life may be Many a boy will neglect his education going upon the theorv that to be a farmer or any of the average vocations a long course of study is unnecessary that it is only time wasted What a serious mistake and only realized when it is ever lastingly too late Dr Kinnaman struck a pretty heavy blow upon sanitary conditions as he found them in many of the public schools a matter which is seriously over looked in many of our schools We regret that so few of the county teachers were present to hear these splendid talks State Supt Crabbe is to be commended for the strong effort which he is exerting to improve our schools and advance education aid the people owe It in doing their part to assist bite in this great and glorious work of improving con ditions
