attendance in the interest of the much argued question of closing the barber shops on Sunday At the last meeting most of the barbers of the town petitioned the ordinance which was passed and which called for the closing of such shops on the Sabbath but the Mayor vetoed this act Time question was brought up again on last Thursday night and it was passed ever the Mayors head Mr G G Prewitt reminded the Council of their agreement to macada mize Fourth street if such should be opened through and their failure to fill said contract Time Street Committee was authorized to receive bids tor
