Fire the well known gentlemen About town who bat handled Ivorv from tbo rockribbed coast of Maine to the fruit bound shores of California and from the snow did mountains of Manitoba to tbe flowerladen proven of Florida received a check Monday for 1003 03 and that It was like getting money from home In the letter which brought the check was a most remarkable story relating circumstances which Mr Pljrg well remembers In 1888 Mr Figgwas manager and part stockholder In a wellknown clubroom that existed at that time In Loultvlllo One night about dark a well dreased strangnr entered tbo olub room
