engag ed In evangelistic work In Kansas City Mb and served there until the first of this year when he accepted tho call to the North Edjte old Baptist church Mr Sbelton was one of the bon be loved ministers of the Baptist church and wee universally popular wherever he was called He was a man of tho highest character and Intelligence and gave his life to his work He had a host of friends throughout Kentucky Missouri and Tennessee and his death will cause a profound sorrow Mr Shelton married Miss Rattle Bass of Wilson county this Stew His wife and only child Albert survive him His wife was at his side when ho died His son Is attending the Kansas City Medical College and was unable to bo present He Is expected here for the funeral The funeral took place at the North Edgeflold Baptist
